Riparian restoration

Help our streams become healthy again!

Riparian restoration (usually meaning planting stream banks) is a key to improving degraded stream health.

A successful restoration process relies on weed control, animal pest control and revegetation planting. Without factoring in these aspects, it can be difficult to restore the stream to a fully functioning ecosystem.

It’s easy! And it’s taking place all over the Auckland Region. Contact your local coordinator to see what’s happening in your area.
